Summer
To say the last month and a half has felt like a whirlwind would be an understatement....to say I've been on an emotional roller coaster would be putting it lightly...but to say I have never felt more loved, grateful, and content with this stage God has me in right now, would be completely true and accurate.
We ended the month of May with the conclusion of an amazing baseball career for this guy...
and the end of another JV season for this guy....who I might add, received the award for not only defensive player of the year, but also the highest GPA on the team.
That led us right into graduation week....cue the emotional roller coaster. I'm not sure when I have ever felt so proud, so weepy, so happy, and so sentimental all at the same time. It was something to behold. Ha! It was a week full of so much pride for the young man our boy has grown into....so much gratitude for our family and friends who came to celebrate with us...and so much anticipation of what is to come as he begins this next chapter as a full-time college student and farmer. Congratulations, my boy. You did it.
and then it was time to get to work....all hands on deck this summer.
and the garden began full production mode.
God greeted me one morning with a sky that left me speechless...
and we rounded off June and began July with celebrations of a marriage, some pretty amazing dads, and the birthday of this incredible country we get to call home.
Summer...you're my favorite. Here's to the second half and all that it holds!
