I believe that God speaks to us in numerous ways.....through His words and promises in the Bible.....through other believers we interact with....through past experiences......and for me, through music.  There is a chorus from a song that has been stuck in my head for the last several weeks.  It wasn't until just this week, in the car with the boys, that I actually  listened  to what the words were saying.  Up until that point  I was enjoying singing the words, simply to enjoy the beat and sound of the song.  In hindsight I'm not sure how I went for so long just completely missing the message and the reassurance the Lord was trying to give me through this song.  There are so many things we can fix our eyes on......our struggles, our joys, the future of our children and family, our insecurities, our desire to try to be everything to everyone.  But it is when I fix my eyes on the Lord, that peace finally comes. When I fix my eyes on all that...

It feels like it has been a flurry of activity.  We wrapped up preschool with such sweet year end programs for both boys.  So proud of them and the progress they made throughout the year.  The same day school ended, the boys and I headed to Ohio for a wonderful visit with my family....highlighted by receiving the news that I am going to have another niece!  Yey!  Have I mentioned that both of my sisters in law are also pregnant...also due in October.....all within a three week time frame?  How's that for an exciting month!? I love it!!  Here's a peek at what's been going on........ Our Pre-K graduate! Jack and his best buddy Chase's program First pony ride at the school festival The soon-to-be big sister.  Seriously....do they come any cuter? The boys LOVED carrying fire wood from the woods at Uncle Josh's house first camping adventure with Uncle Josh.  And it was a success!! ...

I love the change of seasons.  The windows come open, we spend most of our free time outside, and summer is just around the corner.  I must say I am ready for the freedom of our summer schedule.  A break from rushing everyone out the door every morning will be welcomed by this momma.  Oh how things change when you're pregnant!  Normally I'm quite an energetic morning person, welcoming a fast-paced schedule......so the fact this pregnancy has managed to leave me completely drained pretty much all the time has been a bit of a frustration for me.  But....I have been trying very hard to just embrace this season of life, rest when I can, and not stress out about the things I just cannot get done.  The fact that the end result will be one more little bundle in my arms makes it completely worth it.....this is what I tell myself.....many times over.....every day.... :) the latest happenings... A rainy day field trip with Jack to a horse farm He di...

Last night was a big night for our eldest son. After dinner he made a proclamation...."mommy, I want to take the training wheels off of my bicycle!" "Great!!!!!!", I said. "Let's wait for daddy." .....who was soon to be home from work. Daddy came, the trainers went off, and away he went. Not but a minute or two and he was off and pedaling.   Yes, we need to work on turning, but I was pretty impressed with this first attempt. Take a look.... Great job buddy!!

Another super long blogging hiatus!! I have no excuse for myself! Wait, actually I do. As most of you know by now, there is a third little Willin on the way :) In spite of the seemingly never ending morning sickness, and multiple other not so lovely pregnancy symptoms (sigh), it has taken me all of these last 13 weeks to wrap my head around the reality of this little miracle. In the past, my body has been unable to produce pregnancy hormones making it nearly impossible to get or stay pregnant without the intervention of hormone injections along with many doctor appointments and very close monitoring. Due to all of this we had concluded that we were perfectly content with the blessing of our two boys and decided to not pursue treatment for a third. And then back in February....completely out of the blue.......surprise!!!....a positive pregnancy test. Holy smokes. Definitely the closest I've ever come to hyperventilating. Not really, but it was quite a shocker. Immed...

Gracious! It seems as though the entire month of February has passed by without a single post. How did that happen? I can't be sure....other than to say, things have been just a bit crazy. But that's life I suppose. As I stated in my last post I decided to "get out of the boat" and say yes to a new responsibility .....and it turns out that getting out of the boat consumed what little free time I had left in my days. I jumped in and may have went a little deeper than I had originally anticipated. But good news...I feel like I'm coming up for air! Things are leveling out, becoming less new and overwhelming, and I think we've reached a plateau....for now :) To add to the mix we were hit with a double case of pneumonia. Both boys. Down for about a week and a half. Talk about family bonding. Antibiotics, steroids, and two sets of breathing treatments every four hours will really bring a family close together! But I'm happy to report that we are b...
