Kicking off summer

Well we have an almost first grader!  It's hard to believe that it's nearly been a month already since Jack finished school.  I'm so proud of him and all the wonderful things he accomplished.

We love you Miss Joseph!  Thanks for taking such good care of our boy in his first year of school!!

The kids and I hit the road for Ohio a few days after school wrapped up.  We had a wonderful two week visit back home with my family.  What a blessing....so many memories were made.  Thank you to daddy and grandma for holding down the fort while we were gone....the fort being Jack's garden that seems to be on some sort of growth hormone...judging by the way it's producing!!  And thank you to our friends and family who help consume all of the produce :)

But back to the Ohio visit......here are the highlights...........

The boys got to go to their first Major League Baseball game at Progressive Field.  It was priceless to see their reactions to something so big and new to them.  Thanks Uncle Josh for making this happen!

petting zoo, horse rides, wagon rides, lots of swinging on the new swings that gramps put up, donuts on many mornings of the week, a wonderful birthday party for mommy, lots of campfires and smores, camping with uncle josh, going to work with gramps, catching lots of fireflies...lots and lots of fireflies, hanging out with second cousins, rides at the park, lots of ice cream and sweet treats, swimming.....just a few of the things these guys got to do.  What a way to kick off the summer. :)

Then after just a few days at home.....and lots of catching up on garden work (THANK YOU MOM!!!).... we were on the road again to Williamsburg where we had a few days of fun at Busch Gardens and Water Country.  Thank you to Mimi for opening her open to the entire Mullet family.  We had such a great time! But somehow by this point I completely failed at snapping many pictures.  But here's one.....

...
Chase loves trains.  All day at Busch Gardens he kept hearing the train whistle....all he wanted to do was ride that train....and for some reason we were having a really hard time finding where to get on.....and he just kept asking "when will we ride the train????!!!"  Finally we figured out where to go and got that boy on the train.  And he was so happy.....and he also had a very blue mouth from the very blue icy he had just eaten.  Love it :)

Luke is approaching 9 months....he currently loves knocking things off shelves, looking at books, eating graham crackers, looking out windows, and trying to keep up with his big brothers.

So now our travels are over and we have 4 more weeks left before Jack heads back to school.  Swim lessons, gardening and state fair fun are on the agenda.  Happy Summer!!
