Celebrating Mom!

When it comes to mothers I find myself in the very fortunate and blessed category.  I grew up with a mom who loved me unconditionally, supported me always, and prayed for me daily.  There was never a need that didn't get met, never a day that I did not know I was loved, and many wise words instilled into my soul as she guided me through life.  Now, as I continue to grow into my role as mother and wife it's her that I see.....I see her in me....I see her in the way I now love my children, the way I serve my husband, and in the ways I value my faith and family.  She sets the mark quite high, but how wonderful it is to have such an example to follow.  Even though there are now miles between us, there will never be a day that I do not need my mom.  I owe so much of who I am, to her.  Putting it simply.... when it comes to mom's, I've got the best.  I love you mom!

And then as if having a wonderful mother wasn't blessing enough, the Lord continued his blessings when he gave me my mother-in-law.  She truly is my second mom.  In fact, I call her mom. This mom prayed for me in a different way as I was growing up.  She prayed that God would be preparing some little girl, somewhere out there in the world, to one day marry her son.  And when that day came she took me in as one of her own.  I do not know where I would be without her support and love.  She understands what is it like to get married, move away from the home you've always known, and start a new life in a new place.  She understands the challenges, the stresses, the joys and the happiness of being the wife of a farmer.  She comes along beside me when my hubby is working long hours and helps me keep the ball rolling as I manage a very busy schedule.  She encourages me in my struggles and rejoices with me in my victories....putting it simply.....when it comes to a mother-in-law, I've got the best.  I love you mom!

an early Mother's Day bouquet from Jack and Chase

loving my azaleas this year!

well, there is a first time for everything.  stepped out of the laundry room very briefly and came back to find him here.

Jack and Chase got to make a trip to Virginia with Grandpa and Grandma to celebrate their cousin's birthday.  Fun times and great memories made.

Chase's Mother's Day Tea event at kindergarten.  So sweet.

Heart be still.  This boy is almost a first grader.

Luke is very into counting these days.  I hear him throughout the day counting his toys, counting to himself, counting to his stuffed animals.  he's growing up too fast!!

What a privilege it is to mother these three little lives.

Happy Mother's Day!!
