Summer!

Happy Memorial Day!
so grateful for each and every person who gave their life as a sacrifice for our country and for our freedom.

School is out.  and I am currently doing my happy dance.  All three boys wrapped up their school year on Friday and what a great day it was.  A preschool festival for the youngest and a morning full of field day fun for the older two.  Thank you to Grandma for stepping in as you always do when mommy cannot be in two places at once.  I am so proud of all my boys.  Luke has really enjoyed preschool and it's been so much fun to watch him learn and develop some really sweet friendships. He received the Wild Dog award.  that's right, wild dog.  maybe it helps to know that it was an animal theme and everyone was awarded the title of some type of animal.  but oh my....how appropriate...as his certificate read..."For eagerly taking on tasks with much eagerness and excitement."  which might be a polite way of saying, "your child has so much energy we hardly knew what to do with him." either way, we love our bundle of energy...and ask for many prayers as we are raising him.  :)
our little wild dog :)

festival fun!

even with his wiggles and squirms there is nothing better than cuddles with this little guy

The older two boys blew me away this year.  The way they handled starting at a new school...the way they made new friendships and learned new routines....the way they soaked up every chapel service and learned new songs and learned exciting things about Jesus....the way they worked....and I mean worked so hard at their studies....the way they finished as strong as they started.  I'm so thankful God led us to this school.  It really is like a family.  A place where our boys are known for exactly who they are and are loved.  A great school year indeed.

And I need to share....my middle guy.  The one who quietly does his thing right smack in the middle of an older brother and a younger brother who are anything but quiet.  His subtle determination and hard work could easily go unnoticed by many.  but you know those moments in motherhood when your heart is so full of pride and gratefulness that it feels like it just might explode out of your chest?  I had one on Friday as I was looking at Chase's final report card.  A note from his teacher....
proud. momma. moment.

end of year field trip to Shorebirds stadium

Here's to the start of summer vacation!  may it be full of warm sunny days, lots of meals eaten outside, many memories made, and lots of fun and laughter.
