A new school year is underway and these first three weeks have gone great.  Smooth transitions and smiling faces at pick up make things much easier for mom :)   all ready for 4th and 2nd grade pre-K 3 for this guy flag football is underway few things make him happier than riding in the tractor with dad during corn harvest    growing so fast and filling my heart with so much pride and joy.  Thank you God for these amazing lives you've entrusted to us.  I pray they would show your love and kindness in all that they do and say throughout this school year.

13 years

We are in a stretch of many days that feel like this.... So we took a fun family day yesterday to do this.... a day at my favorite place with my favorite people... especially this guy today marks 13 years of this crazy and wild ride called marriage.  I'm not sure how that much time has passed.  I'm not sure how our boys are growing up so fast, turning into such wonderful young men.  I'm not sure how our twenties seem like so long ago.  I'm not sure how we are going to make it though the teenage years.....yikes.  But I am sure, that we serve a good and gracious God, blessing us in ways far beyond what we ever could have imagined.  and I'm sure that he knew exactly what he was doing when he joined our lives together 13 years ago.   And I'm sure that I love you more and more as each year passes.  Happy Anniversary my love!!

We've been enjoying wonderful weeks full of sweet summertime fun!   Chase's all star team finished up their season with a championship win!  Such a proud day for coach Dad.  Great job Nanticoke All Stars!! We checked another thing off our summer to do list by taking the older boys to their first O's game.  It could not have been a more perfect night. visit from Ohio family!   my freezer is now stocked full of our garden's sweet corn.   State Fair fun! Tons of fun of the river with Virginia cousins and Luke's new best buddy, Scout! :) love these kids so much! yum.  summer produce is the best.   Only two and a half more weeks until I send my kiddos back to school.  Football practice began last night for the older boys and I'm starting to get that itch for fall as I always do.  What a great summer it has been!!

How is June already behind us?!  so much happening and the weeks just seem to fly by.  As I'm organizing my calendar for this month and next it looks like we may be able to slow down a bit.  We're looking forward to wrapping up baseball, visits from family, state fair fun, and many more pool days! Jack's all star team wrapped up their season last weekend and came in as runner up in the District 3 tournament. Words cannot express how proud I am of #15.  He was the youngest player on the team and one of only 2 players who doesn't play on a year round travel team.  He was challenged and stretched as he  was put in a new position and learned how to support his team even when he wasn't on the field.  It broke my heart at times to see him struggle.  But once he overcame the struggle and embraced the challenge, my heart was so full of pride as I watched him give 100 percent in every single game.  And he did phenomenal.  proving to hims...

I'm not sure what happened to that one week of carefree summertime that we had right after school ended.  That was a nice week.  and then it ended.  and then we found out  that both Jack and Chase made All Stars.  which is so amazing.  but whoa.  2 different teams.  2 very intense schedules.  throw in leading VBS music, getting a wisdom tooth pulled, hubby tearing a muscle in his back,  wheat harvest on the farm, swim lessons every morning, ear infections and tonsillitis for my littlest guy, and baseball practices every night....what you are left with is a slightly frazzled mom :)  But we are surviving.... and having some really amazing moments in the midst of all the craziness.  Like when Chase made 2 outs on the field in the first inning of his very first all star game....or when I got to look out at 40 kids at Vacation Bible School lifting their hands to praise their creator....or when Jack got an amazing hit at his first al...

Let me tell you about something amazing.  something that seemed too good to be true until I gave it a try....and wow....it just really is that good.  I'm always a little behind when it comes to current trends. I keep hearing raving reviews about grocery delivery services, particularly Amazon Fresh.  So I figured what better time to use my one month free subscription!?  With three boys out of school who think there is just nothing more terrible than going to the grocery store with mom....yes, this was definitely the time.  So I compared prices and discovered that most things are very comparable to store prices...made my list...chose my items....placed my order and tada!!..... a day and a half later these lovely totes showed up at my doorstep....full of all of my groceries.  And it was pouring down rain which made it all the more gratifying!  Oh Amazon....there you go again making life just way too easy for us!  there was no trying to fit everyt...
