when you are 2....

When you are 2 your mommy gets the biggest kick out of hearing you talk.....when you are 2 you are just figuring out how to put words into sentences.....when you are 2 it gets so frustrating when you are so clearly trying to make a point and mommy just can't seem to get it.....when you are 2 you are still trying to figure out what all these words mean and how to tell the difference between the ones that sound the same.  Take yesterday for instance.  On the way home from dropping Jack off at school, Chase tells me, "I want alligator when we home."  An alligator?  yep, that's what he said.  First of all, I had never heard him say alligator before and second of all, I could not figure out why he now thought he wanted one.  The entire drive home he kept saying it....and even turned it into a song.  I brushed it off and felt content to let his little imagination run wild.  We get home, pull into the garage, he hops out of his seat, goes directly to the garage refrigerator, opens the door, and says "see mommy, an alligator."  Well, he had the gator part right.  What he wanted was a Gator-ade.  :)  See, when you are 2 you can say sweet, funny things like this, melt your mommy into a puddle and somehow manage to snag a big boy bottle of Gatorade all for yourself at 9:30 in the morning.  Being 2 is pretty great. :)

What a month it has been.  Such a busy time.  This weekend we say goodbye to some dear friends who are moving to a new place for the next chapter of their lives.  We are so grateful for the time we have had to get to know them and wish them nothing but God's absolute.  And then on Tuesday....our annual Thanksgiving trip to Ohio!!!  can. not. wait.  Food, family, and festivities.  All that to say, I will be leaving the blogosphere for a short time.  :)  so happy Thanksgiving to each of you.  Enjoy this season of giving thanks to our Creator for all the blessings He has given.  There are simply too many to count.  Happy Friday!

Here's Jack at his Thanksgiving Feast at school.  They made the cutest hand print pilgrims for place mats!
so proud of our boy and the little man he is becoming.
